The Team

A BBC-trained secretary, Helen has a diligent approach to admin and runs a very tight ship. Known as the queen of calm and common sense, she’s tenacious, resourceful and is always quick to find a solution to any office problem.

A member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), Helen has made it her mission to stay on top of the rapidly changing software in this busy area of business.

Above all else, Helen enjoys implementing systems and business change management into the workplace. A big fan of IT, and a true champion of Microsoft Office, she loves sharing her extensive knowledge of Word and Excel. A whizz with WordPress, Helen spends much of her time creating content and updating websites and relishes the challenge of running social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

A real extrovert, Helen gets her energy from being around people and brings a sunny vibe to the Knutsford Admin team. Outside work she’s a keen traveller and is gradually working her way through some of the amazing destinations on her bucket list.

Rebecca qualified as a management accountant in industry and had a successful career for 15 years, working with several SMEs in Cheshire and progressing to Finance Director in a multi-million pound private equity backed company. In 2014, Rebecca decided to change tack and set up her own business helping smaller SME’s grow to the next level, predominately using SAGE software.

As finance director at Knutsford Admin, Rebecca brings a wealth of industry experience and local contacts, allowing us to offer a higher level of reporting, expertise and bookkeeping. She shows business owners how to use their finance systems and reports to better understand and manage cashflows, set budgets and monitor information. When businesses need to talk to their banks or are looking for finance, having accurate and clear financial information at their fingertips is invaluable.

Rebecca shares her enthusiasm for better controls and management reporting with our team and our clients. An avid fan of the ever-changing software options for the bookkeeping and accountancy industry she’s an expert in Xero and data capture tools like Hubdoc, SAGE business cloud, Approval Max and Telleroo.

Our Payroll Manager, Katie joined us in 2019 as an AAT Apprentice. She then became a Business Apprentice and graduated from Salford University in the summer of 2023 with a first in Business and Chartered Management. She’s a member of the ICB and has completed her Professional Diploma in Payroll Management.

Katie likes to be organised and has a strong interest in business, especially marketing and sales and operations management, making her a great addition to the team. She loves meeting clients and enjoys the wide variety of tasks that come with her role as Payroll Manager – Katie heads up this department, keeping up to date with all legislative changes, monitoring software and investigating and implementing new software as appropriate.

Always on the go, Katie is a real social butterfly. When she’s not at Ka, you’ll find her on the French ski slopes or enjoying the beautiful sunshine of the Canary Islands!

With a degree in Zoology, Liz didn’t set out to be an accountant and was far more likely to become an artic explorer. However, she found herself qualifying as a CIMA accountant and enjoyed an interesting career in television.

Liz enjoys working with the huge variety of clients at Ka – no two days are the same and the work is never boring. With in-depth experience and a management accountant qualification, she loves nothing better than sharing her knowledge and helping business owners to understand and read their accounts.

Digital Accountant is probably a more appropriate name for Liz as she’s our go-to when it comes to exploring new software and implementing the many sophisticated and time-saving changes that are now available. An expert in Xero, Syft, Hubdoc, Telleroo, Apron and Approval Max – the digital options are endless and evolving all the time – and Liz is always the first to keep up with any changes.

Outside work she can often be found advising her husband and children on the use of tech in the home – we’re not quite sure they realise just how ‘modern’ she is.

With a background in garden design and horticulture, Tom soon discovered he was also a natural at sorting out the admin side of running a nursery, and this eventually lured him into studying CIMA.

Excel is his middle name and using it to produce useful reports, is his dream. He’s also now an avid user of SYFT – an incredible and powerful reporting tool that brings together consolidated reports for businesses with multiple entities, which need intercompany reporting. Tom gets a huge amount of pleasure from providing weekly cashflows and monthly P&Ls to clients

His family are big fans of the great outdoors, and he enjoys planning trips away with his wife and young daughter.

Mollie joined the team in Spring 2023, coming from a background in data protection and customer service.  With a degree in Neuropsychology and a Psychology Masters, Mollie has now decided to follow her passion for numbers and is enjoying her role as Bookkeeper here at KA, while also continuing her studies with the ICB in Bookkeeping and Management Accounting. 

She has a very keen eye for detail and has recently managed the launch of new password protection software, ‘Keeper’ across the company.

She loves a good Zumba class – oh and a packet of Haribo Tangfastics! Life’s all about balance!

Clive is a Chartered Management Accountant with almost 20 years’ post-qualification experience. He’s worked in a variety of industries including nuclear, manufacturing, engineering and leisure. 

His role at Ka involves helping clients with cash flow, forecasting and budgeting.

In his spare time, Clive enjoys a run (often accompanied by his dog!) and can regularly be found at the practice nets at Toft Cricket Club, supporting his son’s junior cricket career. 

Our queen of crochet, Polly creates the most amazing handmade animals. This attention to detail is what makes her such a good Bookkeeper.

Polly has the most amazingly organised approach to bookkeeping and manages some of our most transactional-heavy clients, as well as those with large payment runs. And of course she does it all great accuracy!

Nearing the end of her AAT studies, Polly has thoroughly enjoyed her change of career and is the first to recommend it to youngsters who are leaving school and don’t know what to do. We think changing careers is a brilliant idea and Polly is a fine example of how well it can work.

Juggling family life and studying with her day job at Ka is a lot, but Polly has an incredible work ethic – we think she’s an absolute star!

Celine is our latest recruit having just joined the KA team as administrator & bookkeeper. She brings 20 years of administration experience to the practice, having worked to executive level in various industries.

Her role at KA is to provide bookkeeping for our clients, support the team with administrative tasks, and organise the office.

Outside of work, Celine supports her partner by doing his business bookkeeping. You can also find her enjoying gourmet food and wine, 4-part harmony singing, and driving around the countryside in her 30 years old sports car.

Having worked in finance for many years, Nicky is totally devoted to ensuring records are up to date. She loves supplier and customer reconciliations, which so often get neglected – and gets her kicks from making sure accounts match supplier statements and that there are no rogue payments. Anywhere. You name it, she’ll tidy it.

Nicky has a lovely manner with all our clients and is the bookkeeper that every business needs in their pocket. A joyful member of any team, we’re thrilled she’s such a huge part of ours!
